The work of the Resident Services Coordinator is among the most notable and important service enhancements of an NSC community. The role of the Resident Services Coordinator is to be an advocate for the resident, continuously assessing the resident’s additional service needs, encouraging and assisting in the provision of programs and outside services in order to enhance the quality of life for residents. In elderly housing, EHM promotes proper nutrition, personal support, and community network services through congregate housing services or by coordinating community services for individuals. Some sites contract with licensed assisting living agencies to provide a level of healthcare to residents so they may remain in their homes.
