Sullivan McKinney is a forty unit affordable housing community designed to serve elderly households as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 202/8 definitions.

New Samaritan Corporation a group of churches came together to try to solve elderly housing problems. Reverend Rush from First Church Congregational was the first chairman of the Fairfield Committee to open our doors in 1989. We provide a decent, safe and affordable community for seniors to age in place for over 25 years.

Sullivan McKinney was substantially renovated in 2010 including energy efficient upgrades including appliance replacements, HVAC replacements, energy efficient window installations, new roofing and numerous upgrades to the residents’ homes. It is our goal to provide a community where residents can age in place with success, dignity and comfort. We have employed a Resident Services Coordinator at the community who provides residents with links to community services to enhance their ability to remain in their homes.
