Sophia joined EHM in June of 2023. Since her start in the affordable housing industry nearly ten years ago, her passion has always been to develop and sustain quality housing for all. More recently, she served as Assistant Director at the Wallingford Housing Authority where she was responsible for overseeing daily operations as well as managing all grant related projects for the agency. With experience in both HCV and HUD Multifamily Housing Programs, she was successful in expanding their federal housing subsidy portfolio by implementing both a Project-Based Voucher and Section 811 Program prior to her leadership position.

Sophia is an active member of the CT Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (CONN-NAHRO) where she sits on the scholarship committee. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.

Outside of EHM, Sophia enjoys traveling the world with close family and friends.

Since 1988, Mrs. Cox has significantly contributed to New Samaritan Inc., Elderly Housing Management Inc., Community Housing Management Inc., and New Samaritan Development Corp., showcasing 35 years of dedication and growth within these organizations. Her ascent from roles such as Accounting Assistant to the pinnacle position of Comptroller/Director of Finance in May 2023 illustrates her vast institutional and regulatory knowledge, particularly in compliance areas for Rural Development and HUD. Beyond her promotions, Mrs. Cox has demonstrated profound expertise and leadership, from managing financial and payroll departments as Accounting Director to overseeing extensive property financial data as Property Accounting Manager. Her academic background from Southern CT State University complements her practical experience, reinforcing her skill set in both property and corporate accounting domains within these organizations.

Marilyn Dawson is an experienced property management professional with over 25 years in housing, finance, and operations. She most recently served as Director of Property Management at 360 Management Group – Elm City Communities, where she oversaw a large portfolio, led staff development, managed budgets, and maintained strong investor and tenant relations. Throughout her career, she has progressed from accounting and administrative roles to senior leadership positions, demonstrating expertise in property operations, compliance, budgeting, and team management.

Marilyn began her career in accounting and administrative support, later advancing through roles with the New Haven Housing Authority and Yale New Haven Hospital, building a strong foundation in finance and housing management. She is bilingual and highly skilled in industry software including Yardi, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office, and holds multiple housing and property management certifications.

She is known for her leadership, operational efficiency, and commitment to quality housing services.

Embracing a fulfilling career journey, I’m joining EHM as the Director of Human Resources after 11 years of work and leadership in the Service Coordinator Department. With a robust foundation in human services cultivated over 18 years, I’ve dedicated myself to contributing to various organizations and honing my skills.

Passionate about employee engagement and social services, I thrive on challenges that allow me to integrate my background in social work seamlessly. My focus is on making a meaningful impact in our company, for our employees, and for our residents.

Beyond my professional endeavors, my family life brings immense joy and inspiration. A proud wife and mother to three beautiful children, our family values of service to others and the community guide both my personal and professional pursuits.

Balancing leadership responsibilities with family life has strengthened my belief in the power of strong support systems. They not only bolster career success but also enrich our personal lives.

Jocelyne is a dedicated professional with a passion for property management and finance. Her career in property management commenced in 2013, where she embarked as a property administrator for Carabetta Management overseeing a substantial portfolio of 1400 units. This experience laid the foundation for her career, instilling a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail.

In 2016, she transitioned into the realm of public housing, focusing primarily on finance and office coordination. This shift allowed her to broaden her skill set while serving the community, a role she found deeply fulfilling. Being bilingual has been instrumental in facilitating effective communication and building strong relationships within diverse communities.

Eager to expand her horizons further, Jocelyne pursued a real estate license in 2023, driven by a desire for personal growth and professional development. This endeavor not only enriched her knowledge but also empowered her to better serve clients and stakeholders in the real estate sphere.

Outside of work, she finds joy in fueling her passion for travel. Her greatest treasures remain her cherished family and friends, whose unwavering support and love are continually inspiring. Jocelyne is committed to excellence in all endeavors, striving to make a positive impact both professionally and personally.

Jaime brings a rich background of over a decade in senior housing to her role as Director of Resident Services, marked by a steadfast commitment to enhancing the lives of older adults. Her journey with EHM began in 2013, and since then, Jaime has climbed through the ranks, contributing her expertise at various locations, including Parish Court in Fairfield and River Park in Milford. Her educational foundation is a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which underpins her career-long dedication to crafting meaningful experiences for seniors.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Jaime is deeply engaged with her community, demonstrating leadership and a dedication to service. She serves as the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Staff Officer of Finance and Program Visitation, and is a certified CHOICES Counselor, providing guidance on Medicaid and Medicare concerns. Jaime’s blend of extensive experience, heartfelt passion for senior care, and community involvement are pivotal to the ongoing success and well-being of our residents.

Brian joined EHM in August of 2009 as the organization’s Property Accounting Manager.  He has been working in the Property Management/Housing Industry since the mid-1980s, and has managed accounting operations in all facets of the accounting cycle.  Having worked and held positions in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and General Ledger in both the Hartford, CT and Boston, MA areas, Brian has prepared financial statements for residential and commercial properties throughout the years.  During his lengthy tenure at Imagineers he was responsible for preparing & disseminating  financial statements for a number of condominium complexes.

Brian currently oversees the Property Accountants in the preparation and issuance of the financial statements for EHM’s portfolio of site managed properties.  Adhering to the rules and regulations of the various regulatory bodies (HUD, USDA-RD, State of CT DOH, and CHFA), Brian works with a number of auditors on a regular basis to ensure that each managed property is in compliance with their financial reporting requirements.  In addition to being involved in the audit process, Brian is also responsible for preparing site HUD RSC & CHSP Grant Vouchers for LOCCS submittal.

Brenda joined EHM in 2010 as a part-time Property Manager, quickly building expertise in USDA and Section 8 housing programs.

She soon transitioned to a full-time role, expanding her knowledge to include HUD PRAC 202 and 236 communities. Over the years, Brenda strengthened her skills by supporting multiple properties across the EHM portfolio, including sites in Litchfield County, where she also mentored fellow Property Managers.
Her strong leadership and commitment led to her advancement within the organization, first as Team Lead and later as Regional Manager. Brenda holds certifications as a Certified Occupancy Specialist and in Fair Housing Compliance, reflecting her dedication to maintaining high industry standards. She also brings strong experience in housing operations, with a focus on budget management, board relations, and capital needs planning and implementation.

Brenda’s management philosophy centers on providing quality housing, personalized care, and comprehensive services tailored to meet the needs of the elderly community.

She holds a master’s degree in organizational management from Central Connecticut State University. Outside of her professional role, Brenda is a devoted wife and mother of four who values the importance of family and enjoys spending meaningful time with her loved ones. She also coaches girls’ middle school basketball, where she brings the same passion for mentorship and teamwork that defines her professional life.

Stephany joined EHM in 2019 in her current role as Regional Property Manager for the Eastern CT region, overseeing HUD, USDA, CHFA, and DOH properties. She started her Property Management career in 2007 in Massachusetts first as a Site Manager of a HUD 202/8 elderly housing property followed by a promotion to Regional Manager in 2010 supervising a multi-state affordable housing elderly/disabled portfolio. Stephany holds certifications as a Certified Professional of Occupancy, Accredited Residential Manager, and National Affordable Housing Professional. She is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, MA. Stephany is committed to providing the highest level of service to owners, residents, and staff for Elderly Housing Management.
